Tasting notes
Parker: 88
The 2009 Carignan Prima reveals more oak and tannin along with a denser style. Although more ambitious and serious than its sibling, it does not appear to be much better than the introductory cuvee, although it should last a little longer, 4-5 years. (Tasted once.)
Sarah Abbott MW: Super seductive aromatics of vanilla and blueberry. Supple, seductive and gorgeously textured. Excellent depth of fruit density and concentration for this level. Already very harmonized, with lithe tannin, well judged oak and lovely, succulent fruit. Cool and pure on the finish. Lovely stuff.
